How do you measure Separation?

How do you measure Separation?
Is it measured in time, hours, or minutes?
Is it measured in the breaths taken whispering their name in your pining heart?
Is it measured in the raindrops that fall in your balcony reminding you of the happy times?
Is it measured in the times you realise you are living a virtual life?
Or is it measured in the footsteps you take without them?
How is separation measured?
Is it measured in video calls you don’t make, or the numerous times you dial their number only to refuse to make that call?
Is it measured in the no. Of times you see the leaves and trees dancing wildly and you wish they were there to see it too!?

Is it measured in the way your heart flinches when you remember how easy it was to laugh with them?
Why isn’t there a standard metric to measure Separation!
Maybe it would save time.
